Helping more than 600,000 people that live with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers across Canada, the annual IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is happening on Saturday, May 27th in Exeter, and several other locations throughout the county.
Although Huron Perth Alzheimer’s Society has had the event for a few decades, Manager of Fund Development and Communications Erin Dale says that COVID changed the game a bit,
Proceeds from the fundraiser help provide support to individuals and families through, social recreation programs, in home recreation programs, and education.
Dale also shared that all donations remain in the community to help individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as their caretakers.
The walk is being held at various locations throughout the county including Exeter, Clinton, Wingham, Goderich, Listowel, Stratford and St. Mary’s.
The Exeter walk is taking place on Saturday May 27th at 10am at South Huron District High School.
