The trucking industry is hurting, as a wave of retirees are yet to be replaced by a new generation of qualified operators.
President of Bluewater Recycling Association Francis Veilleux says that the operators they employ provide a vital service,
Bluewater Recycling Association employs 30 drivers and countless support staff, that operate roughly 125 routes every single week
In the last decade, as more and more truck drivers retire, they’ve had a harder and harder time finding enough operators for those vital driving jobs, says Veilleux,
Last year, trucking job vacancies were estimated to be about 8%.
Veilleux says that working with BRA is a very stable job,
Bluewater Recycling Association is currently staffed, however, they’re always looking for relief drivers to help facilitate time off, and illness. The job includes a competitive wage, pension and more.
