Lambton Heritage Museum in Grand Bend is nearing the completion of a $1.2 million renovation project – and will be opening it’s doors soon!
On Saturday June 3rd, you can peek inside the new gallery completed with new exhibit walls, display cases, interactive features, and multimedia exhibits.
The renovation also focused on improved environmental controls, to ensure the proper preservation of various artifacts on display.
They’re hosting an official re-opening celebration on June 10th, with tours of the new space, and various historical demonstrations throughout the day.
“The extensive renovations and accessibility upgrades to the Lambton Heritage Museum will ensure more people can experience the exhibits and enjoy while learning,” said the Honourable Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario. “The Government of Canada supports the Museum’s dedication to sharing the rich history of the Lambton region. Preserving artifacts and improving features will ensure that our shared history is celebrated and remembered for generations to come.”
To head on over to the Lambton Museum and see all the new things they have going on, you can purchase a ticket for $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for seniors and students, $3.00 for children and $15.00 for families. Children three and under are free.
