From Municipality of Lambton Shores Website
The Municipality of Lambton Shores has once again secured the coveted Blue Flag for several beaches in the area.
It’s the 15th year in a row that the municipality will fly the flag.
The designation is an international award, given to beaches and marinas that meet safety, environmental, and cleanliness standards.
The beaches recognized include Grand Bend Beach, Grand Bend Marina, and Port Franks Marina.
The Municipality of Bluewater will also be flying the Blue Flag at the Marina in Bayfield.
Only 20 beaches in Canada were recognized, with nine marinas being recognized nationally as well.
