With a decade of runs under their belt, Virtual High School’s Run 4 Kids is taking place on Saturday, June 17 in Bayfield, with a 9am start.
VHS Run4Kids Race Director Amada Zehr says that the event has a new offering this year,
Prior to COVID, the event was very successful, and Zehr hopes they can build that momentum again,
VHS is an online school launched in 2003 by Steve Baker, who used to teach at South Huron District High School. The company works with young people to enable remote education through elementary and high school courses.
This year, the run is raising funds for local non-profit, and Zehr says it’s a good cause.
Participants can register on their website at VHSrun4kids.com. Online registration and fundraising is also available through Rural Response for Healthy Children. You’re also welcome to join the day of the race, even if you haven’t registered.
