Grand Bend’s Lambton Heritage Museum is hosting their bi-annual North Lambton Quilter’s Guild Quilt Show from June 29 to September 2.
To highlight both new and old techniques of artistry, a selection of historic quilts from the museum’s collection will be displayed alongside creations from the guild like clothing, wall hangings, table toppers and more.
The exhibit will kick off with special events from 11-4 on the opening weekend (June 29-July 1), and visitors can meet guild members, view demonstrations, purchase refreshments from the tearoom, browse quilting supplies and books, and shop in their rummage sale.
“We’re so pleased the North Lambton Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show has returned to the Museum again. Their last show in 2021 was a smaller affair due to public health requirements. The formatting this year will be reminiscent of years pre-pandemic, with dozens of quilts and other items on display,” said Dana Thorne, Curator/Supervisor of Lambton Heritage Museum. “Some of the Guild members used the pandemic as an opportunity to finish larger projects and we can’t wait for our visitors to see what they’ve created.”
The museum’s regular hours are Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11-4, and Thursday 11-8:30pm. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, $3 for children, and free for kids under three.
