Huron OPP’s hosting of the local Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) on Wednesday, June 7th was a smashing success.
For 2023’s run, Torch Run co-ordinator of 26 years with Huron OPP, Sgt. Russell Nesbitt, reported a fundraising total of $5,080.00.
The run occurs throughout the province annually to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Ontario – the largest such fundraiser for the organisation.
Participants ran throughout the communities of Wingham, Blyth, Clinton, and Goderich, finishing their run at McGee Motors located on Suncoast Drive for a celebration BBQ.
If you’d still like to get involved but missed the run, a BBQ is planned as a further fundraiser at Corrie’s Food Town in Clinton on Friday, June 30th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
