An additional 15,000 chicks have been reported missing by a farmer who had previously reported 30,000 chicks missing in April.
Sometime in mid-May, the farmer noticed that their chick count was off by an additional 15,000 – however, it took a few days for the farmer to report it.
Huron OPP have not confirmed the report at this time.
The 15,000 missing chicks are estimated to be worth about $1.40/each according to a report from the incident in April – that puts the 15,000 chick loss at about $20,000 in value.
