A long term care home proposed for a site outside of Exeter is one step closer to a shovel in the ground, after Huron County Council voted to amend the zoning by-law that previously stood in it’s way.
At a council meeting on Monday (June 19), the vote to change the zoning of land off of Snider Crescent saw concerns from the public, regarding noise, traffic, loss of privacy, drainage and more.
The developer will now have to satisfy the requirements of the severance, and submit their plan for approval to South Huron Council. The care home has a deadline of August 31st for the beginning of construction.
