A recent investigation by the Huron County OPP’s Major Crime Unit has resulted in the arrest and charge of a Huron East resident for an alleged sexual assault that took place in the early 1980s.
The investigation was initiated following information received by police on June 5th of this year.
On June 30th, 2023, a 64-year-old resident of Huron East, was arrested and charged with indecent assault on a female.
He was subsequently released from custody, and is scheduled to appear in court on August 28th, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.
