During the final question period of the three day Canadian premiers conference in Winnipeg last week, Premier Doug Ford was asked if he’d accept funding for housing from the federal government if it came with strings attached.
Ford says infrastructure development and enhancement goes hand in hand with growing housing demands and all three levels of government need to focus on that as well.
Premier Ford maintains that to reach their target of building 1.5 million homes by 2031, infrastructure cannot lag behind.
He said he welcomes all support from the federal government.
