Mark your calendars for a night of celebration and local pride with, “Late Night at the Gaol” on August 16th from 7 to 10 PM.
The main attraction of the evening will be a live concert featuring talented local musicians, with the headliner being none other than Exeter’s own Graham Bedard.
Jim Seale, Programming and Community Engagement Coordinator with the County of Huron says that visitors will see the gaol as they’ve never seen it before,
In addition to the music, ticket holders will also receive a sweet treat from Wilhelmina Bakery, with bar service and a silent auction available.
Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance or at the door, however, for those who want to enjoy the ambiance without attending the concert, there is a free market outside the gaol starting at 5pm featuring artisan vendors, food trucks, and a silent auction.
Seale emphasized the importance of supporting the museum through events like these, with all proceeds from the event going to the industry gallery revitalization project, preserving and updating the history of industry within Huron County.
According to Seale, telling stories in compelling ways ensures their survival,
For those unable to attend the event but still wanting to contribute, there are various ways to support the Industry Gallery Revitalization Project. Individuals can make donations specifically earmarked for the project, and organizations are welcome to participate as sponsors.
For more information on the event or to make a donation, please visit the museum’s website or contact them directly via email or phone.
