The provincial government made a trio of healthcare announcements Monday (July 24)
First up from Deputy Premier and Minister of Health Sylvia Jones is aimed at those internationally trained in the field working in Ontario.
Jones said that’ll add as many as 50 physicians by next year. Jones also introduced a clinical scholar program, a mentoring program pairing experienced frontline nurses with recent grads.
She also said that they’re seeking ideas from healthcare providers to broaden their services,
She also mentioned a new $40 million funding stream for health care partners can apply for, by pitching their ideas to enhance services and care.
