Tackle is (almost) ready for duty!
A new furry friend will soon be on duty alongside officers from Lambton OPP.
“Tackle” will be joining it’s Canine Unit team – a 2-year-old German Shepherd from Alabama.
Tackle recently completed his training in tracking, evidence search, building clearing and criminal apprehension and is currently working on his training for odour recognition for drugs and firearms. He is expected to be fully trained later this month.
Tackle joins the canine team just in time to tap out “Blitz” – a 12-year-old police service dog, who will be enjoying retirement soon,
He will work alongside “Celaena” an explosives detection dog.

Tackle will be a welcome addition to the team, just in time for Blitz to retire.
