The last Sunday of August marks a special occasion at Sexsmith Airport, just north of Exeter, where the skies fill with the buzzing excitement of aircraft and the air carries the delicious aroma of freshly roasted corn.

The 59th Annual Corn Roast promises to be a spectacular event, bringing together aviation enthusiasts, community members, and anyone curious about airplanes and the thrill of flight.
Any surplus funds generated from the event are divided between supporting the airport and the COPA-177 group, with proceeds donated to local non-profit organizations.
One of the highlights of the Corn Roast is the opportunity for attendees to walk around and explore the diverse collection of aircraft on display.
Rooseboom highlights that the Corn Roast is more than just a gathering of aviation enthusiasts. It’s a chance for anyone, regardless of their knowledge of aircraft, to learn about and appreciate the wonders of aviation.
