Perth County OPP have taken swift action following an intimate partner violence investigation.
The incident unfolded on August 20, 2023, around 4:23 p.m., when officers were dispatched to an address within the Municipality of West Perth in response to a disturbance report.
The authorities initiated a thorough investigation, leading to the arrest of a 40-year-old resident from Mitchell, charged with spousal assault.
The accused was released from custody and is slated to make an appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to address the charge.
