On Friday of last week, Huron OPP initiated an investigation into a shoplifting incident in Wingham, which has now been linked to a series of similar thefts across Ontario involving the same suspects. Police received a call from Josephine Street in Wingham.
Police say two male suspects entered the establishment separately. They stole baby food, shaving accessories, and various items worth approximately $2,000 before leaving without making any payment. Surveillance footage captured both suspects, and their descriptions are on our website along with a photo image. The suspects utilized an older model Mercedes automobile, which was either beige or light grey.
Suspect #1: A male in his 40s, bald, with dark skin, wearing a t-shirt and jeans.
Suspect #2: A male in his 40s, with a heavier build, wearing a hat, a face mask, a t-shirt, and jeans.
These same individuals are believed to be responsible for thefts from stores in Barrie, Meaford, Saugeen Shores, Bracebridge, Walkerton, and Wingham.
