On Thursday afternoon, (September 14) at around 4:00 p.m., a workplace incident claimed the life of a worker on the job in West Perth.
During the unloading of a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) an individual became trapped beneath the vehicle, sustaining serious injuries.
Tragically, a 53-year-old resident of Manitoba lost their life as a result of this unfortunate accident. Despite immediate efforts to save them, they were pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.
The Ministry of Labour has initiated an investigation into the incident to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
