Working with young people to raise awareness about the human on local watersheds, Lambton Heritage Museum is teaming up with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) for a special PA Day event on Friday, October 6.
Titled “Our Wonderful Watersheds,” this event at the Museum will see experts from the conservation authority lead demonstrations, games, and activities designed to shed light on the significance of our local watersheds.
Attendees will have the chance to discover how human activities, including agriculture, have shaped our landscapes and understand the far-reaching impacts of these changes on the local ecosystem.
Colleen Inglis, Educational Program Coordinator at Lambton Heritage Museum, expressed her enthusiasm for this collaborative effort: “What we do on land directly affects our watersheds and the environment. We’re thrilled to partner with the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority to highlight this vital topic. This event offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy fun activities while learning from experts about our local watersheds.”
The event will be on from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Museum, with free entry for children aged three and under.
This collaboration between Lambton Heritage Museum and the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority promises to be an educational and enjoyable experience for all attendees, fostering a deeper appreciation for our local watersheds and the importance of responsible stewardship.
