Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) has announced the launch of four October clinics dedicated to providing COVID and influenza vaccinations.
The clinics will distribute the recently approved COVID vaccine designed to offer protection against the COVID XBB variant.
These clinics are accessible to a broad spectrum of individuals, provided it has been six months since their last vaccine dose or confirmed COVID infection.
You can book your vaccines at HPPH’s site in Stratford on Tuesday, Oct. 17, and Thursday, Oct. 26, or in Clinton on Thursday, Oct. 19, and Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Eligible groups include:
– Residents and staff of congregate living settings such as chronic care facilities and retirement homes.
– Pregnant individuals.
– Individuals aged 65 and older.
– Children aged 6 months to 4 years (for influenza risk).
– Members of First Nation, Inuit, or Métis communities, and their household members.
– Individuals aged 6 months and older with underlying health conditions as per NACI recommendations for both Influenza and COVID-19.
– Members of racialized and other equity deserving communities.
– Health care workers and first responders.
Clinics will not require proof of eligibility, and anyone aged 6 months and above can receive both a flu shot and a COVID-19 vaccine at the same time.

For the general public aged six months and older, free flu shots will be accessible starting October 30 at participating doctor and nurse practitioner offices, pharmacies, and public health unit COVID-19 clinics.
