Lots of people will be enjoying time with their families on Monday for Thanksgiving.
On Monday, October 9th, all municipal buildings, offices, Canada Post services, and even the landfill will be taking a well-deserved break.
When it comes to groceries, make sure you plan ahead! The staff at Hansen’s Independent Grocer and Foodland in Exeter will be taking a much deserved break, both shops will be closed on Monday, as will NoFrills in Grand Bend.
A couple places will have their doors open if you’re in a last minute bind – Sobey’s in Grand Bend will be open 7am-9pm, and Foodland in Bayfield will also be open.
The LCBO and Beer Store will also be taking a day off.
Banks will follow suit, but don’t fret; ATMs will remain at your service.
Gas stations in the area will keep their pumps running, though some may have reduced hours to enjoy the holiday themselves.
As for independent businesses, to avoid any surprises, it’s a good idea to give them a quick call or check their social media for the latest updates – many will be closed to enjoy the time off with their families.
Please note that myFM won’t be broadcasting regular local news on Monday but will be back with all the updates on Tuesday.
