As we know, former Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, as well as Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) representing Lambton-Kent-Middlesex Monte McNaughton recently resigned from his position and decided to leave the political life for the private sector. He told myFM this was always the plan eventually, and it had a lot to do with family.
He says this has been a topic of discussion with his family for quite a few months and decided this was the time. He did add this decision had nothing to do with any current issues regarding the Doug Ford led provincial government. As far as his new position in the private sector, McNaughton says news should be coming out in the next week or two.
