Bree at a market this past summer
Young entrepreneurs in Huron County are gearing up for the second annual Children’s Business Market next weekend.
The market is all about young talents, featuring businesses created by children aged 6 to 14. Last year, the market was a resounding success with most vendors selling out their products.
Bree Wallace, a 13-year-old entrepreneur behind “Breeze Fairy Shop,” was one of them. From wire-wrapped crystal jewelry to macramé, this young entrepreneur offers an array of creative products.
Bree shared her experience from last year, saying that what set it apart was that she was selling alongside her peers.

This year, Bree hopes to keep her table well-stocked and has increased her product variety – she completely sold out of her offerings this year. She’s been preparing since the start of October to ensure a successful event.
She says that mentoring other young entrepreneurs is something that she loves to do, and the market is a great spot to connect with others.
Bree’s parents have been unwavering supporters of her entrepreneurial journey – she often sits with her Mom as she makes jewelry. Bree’s inspiration for starting her business came during the early days of the lockdown. She saw clay earrings on TikTok, used a gift card she got for her birthday for supplies, and found joy in the creative process. Her motivation is simple, “If it makes me happy, it’ll make at least one other person happy.”
You can catch her at the Team Petteplace Children’s Business Market on Saturday, November 4, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Libro Community Hall, Clinton.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to support young entrepreneurs and explore their unique creations.
