Huron OPP released the results of a series of intimate partner violence investigations that took place from September 20th – 26th, shedding light on just how common these kinds of charges are.
In Goderich, a call on September 20th, alerted Huron OPP to an intimate partner dispute. The subsequent investigation revealed that the suspect had violated a release order. A 33-year-old individual from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township is facing charges is currently in custody.
Further investigations in Huron East, Bluewater, and Central Huron also revealed instances of intimate partner violence, leading to charges of assault, domestic mischief and failure to comply with release orders.
