Notice some discoloured water, or pressure changes in your home? It may be because communities across Bluewater are undergoing fall watermain flushing.
The schedule includes the recently completed flushing of the Hensall and Zurich Distribution Systems and the upcoming flushing of Varna on November 16th.
Currently, the Bluewater Distribution System in the Lakefront area is being flushed until November 24th, followed by Bayfield from November 20th to December 1st.
If your water does end up discoloured, it’s advised to remove tap aerators and flush cold water lines. Flushing hot water tanks is also recommended to eliminate accumulated iron that may affect tank efficiency.
