A 26-year-old resident of Lambton Shores is facing charges after being caught driving under the influence in Grand Bend this/last week.
On Thursday (November 16), the driver caught the attention of OPP when they were seen weaving dangerously on the road.
After they pulled the vehicle over, officers detected clear signs of impairment and placed the individual under arrest – their blood alcohol concentration was determined to be above the legal limit.
If you’re thinking about chancing it on the roads, think again – the OPP’s festive RIDE campaign is underway from now until January, and they’re working to crack down on impaired driving.
If you suspect any drivers of being impaired by alcohol or drugs, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or *OPP (677) on your mobile phone – you can contribute to making our roads safer for everyone.
