As part of the new construction, they will have reflection and childrens activity rooms, new suites are large, have patio doors that go outside, for family members there’s a pull out bed, better storage space and a better laundry room.
Something like this does not come together overnight, Van Klooster says this has been a long time coming.

By doing the construction, they will be able to support more people. Currently they support about 60 people year, staying around 13 days on average.
With additional spaces, they will be able to support about 100 people a year.
To put together something like this, it costs a lot, however Van Klooster says they had some help.
Susan and David Bender contributed $500,000 towards the construction project, and many have supported in all kinds of ways.
Van Klooster says once the Hospice construction is completed, the plan is to host a big event.

They still have a bit of a ways to go to finish the construction, however, they are very close to complete.
