Setting out with a simple goal of collecting any food for the local food bank, the team was blown away community’s generosity. Hansen’s Independent Grocer sold out out all 48 prepackaged bags they had prepared for the occasion.
Fedorko said it was great to instill the values of giving back in the young players. He expressed pride in the boys’ engagement with the public, assisting older community members with their donations and emphasizing the significance of supporting others.

The success of the food drive was heightened by the team’s recent regional silver stick win, creating a celebratory atmosphere among the players. The coach highlighted the camaraderie among the 14 boys, reinforcing the team’s special bond.
As a token of appreciation, the coaches treated the players to Dilly bars from Dairy Queen, with the local establishment offering a discount in support of the team’s charitable efforts.
At the end of the day, they couldn’t have done it without the community.
The team’s commitment to giving back not only filled the net but also warmed hearts.
