We have the first snow storm of the winter under our belt – and now that we’re officially dealing with winter driving conditions, it’s time to adjust your driving habits.
Constable Jeff Hare with Middlesex OPP says that somehow, every year, it catches people off guard.
He says that while changing the way that your driving, adjusting to the current conditions is an important thing to do, there’s another tool in your tool box: winter tires.
He says that it’s important to remember that just because it looks nice out when you’re leaving doesn’t mean that conditions will remain favourable throughout your journey.
While you might be in a hurry, one thing to remember is that it’s not safe to pass a snow plough.
So take your time, and arrive safely at your destination! Lake Huron winter storms are no joke, so make sure you drive safely, carefully, and attentively all winter long.
