Lambton Heritage Museum has announced an update about the Canatara Cabin Restoration Project.
After moving the historic cabin in 2020, they’ve been preserving its legacy and contributing to the community’s cultural heritage.
The critical phase of adjusting the concrete pad is underway, aligning precisely with the cabin’s footprint.
The reinforced roof, now on a specially constructed frame, sets the stage for reassembly.
With plans from architect John Rutledge finalized, the tender process for reconstruction starts in the New Year.
They aim to raise $100,000, with $60,000 raised so far.
You can learn more about the restoration at the Lambton Heritage Museum website.
