As the Municipality of Huron East gears up for their 2024 budget, local residents are invited to play a role in shaping the financial blueprint.
Tax dollars in the municipality are divided into three components, with 50% allocated to the Municipality of Huron East, 36% to the County of Huron, and the remaining 14% earmarked for Education.
Balancing the budget is an annual challenge, matching community expectations against realistic funding levels
Residents are encouraged to provide valuable feedback, to help Council and staff gauge community satisfaction, enabling informed decisions on budget allocations for present and future needs.
All feedback is confidential and will be used collectively to enhance services, ensuring a well-rounded and community-driven budget for 2024.
The budget not only determines the day-to-day operations but also influences long-term projects and investments.
