Now that winter has officially arrived, residents are reminded of crucial snow removal and parking bylaws in their respective municipalities.
In South Huron, a dedicated team works to clear roads and sidewalks promptly after snow or ice events – however residents are encouraged to clear sidewalks to enhance pedestrian safety.
On-street parking during snow events is strictly prohibited, 24 hours a day – ensuring efficient route clearing.
Similar regulations are echoed in Lambton Shores, where parking on municipal roads between 2 am and 6 am is prohibited, especially vital during heavy snowfalls.
In the Municipality of Bluewater, winter parking restrictions are in effect from 3 am to 6 am, lasting from November 15 to April 15 – with similar policies in Central Huron, and Huron East.
As winter settles in, residents are urged to familiarize themselves with their local regulations, contributing to the safety and efficiency of snow removal efforts across the region. If you’re unsure about current snow removal policies, contact your municipality.
