Huron County OPP responded to two assault incidents in Seaforth on Wednesday, November 29th.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., Huron OPP officers received complaint of an assault at a residence. The victim suffered minor injuries, and the investigation revealed a heightened level of violence as the suspect brandished an edged weapon and made threats toward the victim.
A 44-year-old from Huron East faces a serious set of charges, including assault through choking and with a weapon, as well as uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death.
This incident comes on the same day as a prior assault in Seaforth that resulted in charges against a 57-year-old of no fixed address.
