With the festive season in full swing, many families are engaging in the tradition of baking together.
South Huron’s Fire Prevention Officer Mike Herbert provided some valuable tips to create a secure baking environment for children. There are many hazards in the kitchen that parents should keep in mind.
He stressed the need for constant supervision, advising parents never to leave the oven unattended during the baking process.
He suggested involving children in age-appropriate tasks, to keep them engaged while ensuring their well-being.
