Huron OPP has charged a South Huron resident with impaired operation, drug possession, and other offenses following a reported complaint on Boxing Day.
Huron OPP officers responded to a location on Kippen Road in the Municipality of Huron East after a witness reported an individual, suspected to be under the influence, seated in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had left the roadway.
Officers found the vehicle, spoke to the impaired driver, and subsequently arrested them.
Inside the vehicle, throwing knives and controlled substances were discovered.
As a result a 35 year-old from South Huron, faces charges including impaired operation, drug possession (Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Methylphenidate), possessing prohibited weapons, and probation order violations.
After a bail hearing, the accused was released from custody, with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 12th, 2024.
