Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) has successfully planted over a million trees since 2006, thanks to local landowners and project partners.
The Spring Tree Order Form is now available, encouraging people to contribute to their local watershed.
While the number of people planting trees has increased, the annual planting figures are between 35,000 and 70,000.
Trees contribute to clean air, water, and overall well-being.
Interested landowners can submit mail-in tree orders until January 31st, with payments accepted until February 29th.
Visit https://www.abca.ca/forestry/treeorders/ for the order form or call 519-235-2610 if help is needed with planting projects.
If you own land that has a place where tree(s) can be planted, think about buying a tree through the tree order program.
If you lack space on your property, you can still help to enhancing forest conditions by making a donation to tree planting through the Footprints to Forests program.
