In a coordinated effort involving a multitude of police divisions, a joint investigation spearheaded by the OPP West Region Community Street Crime Units has led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of illicit drugs and weapons.
The operation on January 9 involved members from almost a dozen detachments including Huron, Perth and Middlesex OPP.
Warrants were simultaneously executed at five different locations, spanning Wallaceburg, London, Middlesex County, Tillsonburg, and Woodstock, as well as three associated vehicles.
The police seized a significant quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and psilocybin, totaling an estimated street value of approximately $194,000.
Additionally, law enforcement confiscated a shotgun, ammunition, knives, a stun gun, laptops, cell phones, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and cash.

The accused individuals are now facing a range of charges related to drugs and weapons and are currently in custody in Woodstock.
Detective Staff Sergeant Charles Lorway of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) emphasized the collaborative nature of the investigation, stating, “This investigation is the culmination of great collaboration between the OPP Community Street Crime Units and our municipal policing partners. These arrests will have a significant impact on the illicit drug culture in southwestern Ontario and will have a very positive impact on public safety.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
