Lambton County Archives and Lambton Heritage Museum is inviting community members to share their hockey stories, photos, and objects, now until February 29th.
Nicole Aszalos, Archivist/Supervisor, says there is a rich hockey history in Lambton County and encourages submissions to capture memorable moments.
They are looking for stories related to playing or watching hockey in Lambton County, spanning organized leagues, recreational teams, and casual pick-up games.
Selected stories and photos may feature in the exhibition “Hockey at Lambton Heritage Museum” from July to October this year.
The museum also invites the community to lend hockey-related items for the exhibit.
Submit objects for consideration by February 29, 2024, at lambtonmuseums.ca/hockey.
Museum staff will follow up on selected objects.
Lambton Heritage Museum is asking the community to lend specific hockey-related items such as hockey skates, sticks, jerseys, and trophies or medals with local ties which could be included in the exhibit.
The objects must be in relatively good condition (although some use is expected) and must have a connection to Lambton County.
