A concerned citizen’s alertness led to a series of charges against a local resident in Bayfield.
The incident unfolded on Friday, January 12th, following a tip received just before 8:00 p.m.
Officers located the suspect’s vehicle described by the concerned citizen. Attempts to stop the vehicle north of Bayfield proved unsuccessful, as the driver evaded police and entered a property on Old River Road.
Upon exiting the vehicle, the driver resisted arrest, a 42-year-old Bluewater resident, faces charges including Operation while Impaired (alcohol and drugs), Flight from Peace Officer, Resist Peace Officer, and Mischief Under $5,000.
The individual has since been released, with a court appearance scheduled for February 26th.
