Students from Eco Exeter, affiliated with South Huron District High School, are set to present at the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority’s (ABCA) Partner Appreciation Evening on March 21, at the Ironwood Golf Club.
Under the theme “Away from pollution, towards solutions: Keeping plastics and other contaminants out of our water,” these young advocates will address the pressing issue of water pollution and explore sustainable solutions.
Marissa Vaughan, South Huron Councilor, and Chair of the ABCA Board of Directors, expressed excitement about hosting the students. She remarked, “These young people are truly inspiring and show the promise of the next generation of watershed stewards.”
The ABCA will also continue its tradition of honoring environmental champions by presenting the Conservationist of the Year Award for the 41st consecutive year. The accolade recognizes individuals or groups contributing significantly to conservation efforts in the region.
