STUFF TO DO
Head down to Exeter Library for their Book of the Month Social event from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Participants are invited to engage in an informal gathering with branch staff and fellow members to discuss the selected book of the month, “The Dutch Wife”. While reading the book is encouraged, it’s not mandatory for attendance.
Gotta love free things! There’s free public skating on tap at the South Huron Recreation Centre this morning from 11:00 – 11:50am.
Today at the Bayfield Library, there’s a Knitting Group gathering from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. It’s an opportunity for knitters of all levels to come together, relax, and connect with others who share their passion.
This afternoon head down to community crafting at the Zurich Library from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. It’s a casual gathering where people can come together to share their passion for crafting. Attendees are encouraged to bring their ongoing projects, whether it’s knitting, crochet, cross stitch, or any other craft they’re working on.
Heading on vacation in Central America this Spring? Why not brush up on your Spanish skills at the Bayfield Library, with their Travel Spanish course – starting at 5:30 pm and ending at 6:30 pm. It’s an 8-week course where participants will engage in listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities in Spanish, all within a cultural context.
Tomorrow, the Grand Bend Legion will be hosting their weekly Meat Draw event. Starting at 5:00 pm and running until 7:00 pm, attendees can participate in the draw for a chance to win various cuts of meat. Doors will open at 1:00 pm to welcome guests, with the draw itself kicking off at 5:00 pm sharp. Hang around after the meat draw for Karaoke!
Elsewhere tomorrow – it’s Family Movie Night at Hensall Heritage Hall, celebrating Family Day Weekend with free admission! Head down at 6:30 pm – choose between The Parent Trap, Little Rascals, or The Sandlot by voting online.
