It’s Crabby Joe’s game day. The Exeter Hawks face off against the Aylmer Spitfires tonight at 8pm at the South Huron Recreation Centre in Exeter.
A newcomer to the team is making waves – with 2 goals and 4 assists in his first two games since coming to the bench in January.
It’s Jimmy Schiedel: the talented centreman has quickly made a name for himself, bringing a fresh energy and dynamic skill set to the roster.
Schiedel’s hockey roots run deep, having played for the St. Mary’s Rock and the Huron-Perth Lakers throughout his youth. His experience and passion for the game shine through in every play, and is always looking to set up his teammates for success – making that extra pass to take them to victory.
He says that the fans have already embraced him as one of their own.
Jimmy says that he had no trouble fitting into the fold from day one, a testament to the welcoming and friendly environment fostered by the team.
Looking ahead to tonight’s game, Schiedel remains focused on his personal goals: working hard, being reliable on the backcheck, and making key plays to secure early momentum for the team.
As the puck drops tonight, Schiedel says the key to victory will lie in getting the first goal, and putting gas in the engine that will drive them to hometown victory.
They’ve got another home game on tap for Monday, when they will face off against the Lucan Irish at 5pm.
Catch them tonight or on Monday, go cheer on your hometown Hawks! Come before or after the game and fuel up at Crabby Joe’s in Exeter.
