In a celebration of art and literature, the Alice Munro Festival of the Short Story has announced their novel contest
Budding artists can design a digital book cover centered around the theme “Lives of Girls and Women.”
A local judging panel will judge the entries based on interpretation of the theme, creativity, originality, design quality, and the overall impact of the art.
The grand prize winner (sponsored by Virtual High School) will walk away with $300, while the second and third prizes stand at $200 and $100, respectively, and will also be featured in an online exhibition on the Alice Munro Festival’s website, as well as being displayed at the festival in June.
Aspiring artists have until noon on March 15 to submit their original creations – artworks generated by AI will not be considered for this competition.
