Huron County has taken strides into the digital age by officially posting meeting recordings to its new YouTube channel this week.
Following myFM’s initial request for meeting recordings nine months ago, the County Council unanimously supported the move, recognizing it as a crucial step towards enhancing public engagement and accountability.
At their meeting on February 7th, council members expressed overwhelming support for the initiative, lauding it as a transparent and accessible way to keep the public informed.
Their YouTube channel, @CouncilCommitteeBoardMeetings will serve as a centralized hub for accessing meeting recordings. With closed captioning standards in place to ensure accessibility, residents can now easily review council proceedings at their convenience.
