In a showdown of athleticism and camaraderie, the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) faced off against the Huron East Fire Department in a charity hockey game that electrified the Brussels Arena this past Sunday (March 3rd).
With the arena packed to the rafters, spectators were treated to a thrilling spectacle as both teams left it all on the ice.
Huron OPP showcased their “sharp shooting” skills, dominating the game with a commanding 8-1 victory over the resilient “high-pressure” defense of the Huron East Fire Department.
However, the true winners of the day were the community members who rallied behind the cause. Huron County Victim Services volunteers were on hand, collecting generous donations of cash and orchestrating a silent auction that added to the charitable spirit of the event.
Representatives from both teams extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
