March is Liver Health month and the Canadian Liver Foundation’s launched their “Just Ask” campaign.
The importance of the health of your liver cannot be overstated, as the foundation’s Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications Holly Nyenkamp explains.
Nyenkamp says the liver’s an easy organ to ignore until there’s something wrong with it – and that there’s a stigma around liver disease because most people by default connect it to drug or alcohol abuse.
While that’s true for some individuals, Nyenkamp says 99% of the time, like the most common non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, it couldn’t be further from the truth.
Their Just Ask campaign that runs through the month allows Canadians to submit questions on liver.ca/justask and have field experts answer them with no strings attached.
