Canadian Agricultural Safety Week runs through Saturday (March 16) and this year farmers, their families and farming communities are encouraged to consider how they plan for farm safety everyday. Robin Anderson, director of programs and communications with the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association explains this year’s theme.
While it may have a romantic side to it, farming is fraught with danger and farm accidents can take a devastating toll. Anderson advises it is all about managing risks on a daily basis.
Anderson points out stress plays an important role when considering farm safety.
Anderson reminds that by working together, we can ensure a safer agricultural sector. More information and resources can be found at agsafetyweek.ca
