In the face of escalating environmental challenges like flooding, wildfires, severe storms, and extreme heat, Canadians are witnessing the stark realities of climate change in their daily lives. However, discussing this daunting topic can often feel overwhelming.
Recognizing the need for open dialogue and actionable solutions, the Lakeshore Eco-Network (LEN) is initiating a series of Climate Cafés, offering a comfortable space for sharing ideas, concerns, and strategies.
The upcoming series of Climate Cafés will delve into a spectrum of topics, including cycling, hiking, native plants, and green investing. The events aim to foster community engagement and empower individuals to take meaningful action in their daily lives.
The inaugural Climate Café in the region took place yesterday (March 20th,) at 10:30 a.m. at the Dunes Refillery in Northville. The venue, known for its commitment to waste reduction and combating plastic pollution, embodies the ethos of environmental stewardship driving LEN’s mission.
