The Huron County Museum and Cultural Programs are looking to chart their course for the next five years, and they’re turning to the community for input.
Beth Rumble, County Librarian and Director of Cultural Services, emphasized the importance of public participation in this process. “Whether you’re a frequent visitor to the Museum and Gaol, have enjoyed events like the Huron Multicultural Festival, or have yet to explore our offerings, your input matters,” she stated. “We’re eager to hear diverse perspectives as we shape our direction for the years ahead.”
Their community survey, accessible online (at www.connectedcountyofhuron.ca) or in paper format at various locations including the Museum and Huron County Library branches, covers a range of topics related to services, programs, and facilities.
Participants can expect the survey to take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. As a token of appreciation for their time, respondents will be entered into a draw for $100 gift cards to Fincher’s in Goderich and Eat Local Huron.
In addition to the survey, the museum and cultural programs are hosting a series of focus groups across the county throughout March, providing an opportunity for in-person engagement.
Sessions are scheduled in Goderich, Wingham, Seaforth, Exeter, and Clinton, with a virtual session also available.
The deadline to give your thoughts is Sunday, March 31st.
