As we move into the warmer seasons, you may not always be around your home, cottage of place of business as much as you would like. That’s why Fire Chief James Marshall is reminding everyone to have a local keyholder.
Marshall says everyone should have at least one local keyholder no matter if you are going away for a few minutes, hours or a few days.
Marshall says having a keyholder can help firefighters greatly in case of emergencies.
If you do not feel comfortable leaving a key with someone on your street or someone locally, Marshall says there is a program that is run through the fire department that is able to help.
To sign up for the program, contact the Lambton Shores fire department by calling 519-243-1400.
